My name is Steve Kingham. I am a CRB Checked, fully qualified driving instructor with 25 years experience in providing driving lessons in Bournemouth. It is important for me and my instructor colleague Leroy to give an excellent service and provide a enjoyable environment for everyone learning to drive. I run my own driving school and although some business comes via this web site, Leroy and I are fortunate to benefit from continued recommendation which I believe is due to the quality of driving lessons we provide. Intensive driving lessons in Bournemouth – what are the benefits?

I qualified as a driving instructor in 1993 and worked with the Bournemouth branch of BSM for a couple of years before branching out on my own.

Over the years I have worked extensively in Salisbury, Dorchester, Southampton and Bournemouth; providing weekly and intensive driving courses for beginner, refresher and advanced drivers of all ages, standards and abilities.

Why is the quality of your driving instructor important?

Statistics show that one in five drivers who had recently passed the driving test will be involved in a potentially serious accident prior to completing 250 miles of unsupervised driving. Why? Traditionally, driving instructors have been trained to recognise and remedy the faults committed by their students during driving lessons with the main objective of simply getting them prepared to take the driving test. Unfortunately these methods have fallen short of highlighting the areas of increased risk after passing the driving test and understanding the link between emotions and driver behaviour. Therefore it is important the training methods used are up to date and designed to meet the needs of modern drivers and the training they receive.
