Would automatic driving lessons in Bournemouth suit you better

Driving an automatic car is so much easier than driving a manual. Stopping and starting off steering, and controlling the car at very low speeds are easier because you only have to control the accelerator and brake pedals; both operated by the right foot only. So you either press the accelerator to go faster or the brake to slow down.

Clearly, it all requires judgement but compared to a manual car, taking automatic driving lessons in Poole or Bournemouth is a lot easier because the clutch pedal is missing. This means there is no stalling when moving off or stopping, no kangaroo hopping or getting the wrong gears. Our automatic driving lessons Poole means there is far less distraction from controlling the car and more time to watch the road and traffic situations ahead.

When you learn to drive in an automatic car, you will still learn at a pace that suits you, but the rate of learning compared to a manual car will be quicker.

However, automatic drivers must still master the same road skills and manoeuvres. The only difference is a technical one whereby that are clutch, and manual gear stick is missing.

Would automatic driving lessons suit you better?

Before you decide whether to take manual or automatic driving lessons in Bournemouth or Poole, it’s worth knowing that if you pass your test in an automatic, you will not be licensed to drive a manual car. That would be a separate test. Your decision to learn in an automatic could reduce your choices when buying or renting a car and could affect your driving career, especially if you decide to take a driving job at a later date, for example

If you decide later to drive commercial vehicles such as lorries, vans and cars. Makers of larger and medium-sized commercial vehicles tend to only manufacture manual transmission vehicles.  Automatics in this class tend to be very rare.

After stop-starting driving lessons for almost two years I passed my test on the second try! Steve was always very encouraging and supportive and I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor – thanks a lot!
